Jalen Edwards

Photographer & Writer

Light, place,
and memory.

I make quiet photographs and write essays about the space between what we see and what we remember. This is my working archive.

About

I'm Jalen — I photograph the quiet and write around it.

I carry a camera through coastlines, cities, and the small rooms of strangers, drawn to the moments that resist explanation. My work lives at the edge of documentary and something more personal.

Alongside the images, I write essays and field notes — attempts to understand why a certain light, a certain silence, refuses to let me go. The photographs and the words are the same practice by different means.
